New York City Illustrators Photo Tour

Faculty Kurt Hollomon and son Jake Hollomon ’08 take a sketchy trip to NYC.
The Pencil Factory, Milton Glaser, overflowing sketchbooks with hallucinatory observations, hop aboard for a free trip to New York City with Illustrator and PNCA faculty member Kurt Hollomon and son Jake Hollomon ’08. They recently spent a week in New York City investigating the current state of illustration and engaging with some of the top practitioners in the profession. Jake and Kurt attended a moderated panel discussion at School of Visual Arts on the discovery of new markets by recently graduated illustrators. During the ensuing tour of studios, they continued this conversation with the illustrators with whom they visited while flipping through amazing sketchbooks and observing a wide variety of highly productive work environments. Jake Hollomon used his deft blogging skills to put together this rich summation of discoveries.
