Olympia-based papercut artist Nikki McClure speaks about her life and work in this CraftPerspectives / Applied Craft and Design lecture.

Working with daily life as her subject, black paper as her medium and an X-acto blade as her tool, Nikki McClure creates intricate papercuts which have become a hallmark of an impressive career that includes her well-known printed calendars, book illustrations, snowboard designs, t-shirts and more. This lecture was offered in conjunction with Nikki McClure: Cutting Her Own Path, 1996–2011 at Museum of Contemporary Craft and co-sponsored by the MFA in Applied Craft and Design.
